The biggest mistake, most new callers make is to call, get no response and move on. Trust your calling. Your voice will carry a long distance and if there is a moose in the area and he is ready to rut, he will come and find you. By staying still you decrease the chances of the moose discovering you and the simple rule of the wilds “Whoever moves first – loses” holds true here as well. It is a simple truism that it is easier to see something moving than it is to see something when you, yourself, are moving.
